Scarlet Hair is more than a salon. It's something we've poured our hearts into, built around creating exceptional hair, genuine relationships and an experience that makes every client feel completely looked after.
Our Story
Scarlet Hair was founded in 2010 by Leslie with a simple vision: to create a welcoming salon where beautiful hair, genuine relationships and family came first. What began as a small local salon has grown into one of Mandurah’s leading hair destinations, but the heart of Scarlet has never changed.
Our story began even earlier, when Mia started her hairdressing apprenticeship at just 15 years old, working alongside her mum in a local salon. Through the hairdressing industry, she met Logan, another passionate hairdresser who shared the same ambition, values and love for the craft.
Scarlet’s first home was a humble 50 square metre salon in Falcon with just six styling chairs and two basins. Leslie’s dream was never about building the biggest salon. She simply wanted to create a place where family, clients and great hair could come together.
In 2014, Mia and Logan joined the family business, bringing fresh ideas and a shared vision for Scarlet’s future. As our clientele and team continued to grow, Scarlet moved into a larger space before expanding once again into the salon we proudly call home today.
In 2026, we celebrated 16 years of Scarlet. Today, our 190 square metre salon is home to 19 incredible team members, including nine apprentices, making education and the future of our industry a huge part of who we are. Mentoring young hairdressers, creating career opportunities and watching our team grow is something we’re incredibly proud of.
Through three salon locations, a growing team and thousands of clients through our doors, the things that matter most have stayed the same: beautiful hair, genuine relationships, exceptional service and making every client feel at home at Scarlet.
Today, Scarlet Hair is proudly owned and led by husband and wife Mia and Logan McIntosh, continuing the family legacy Leslie started back in 2010. With our incredible team, loyal clients and the local community behind us, 16 years feels like only the beginning.
2010 — Scarlet Hair is founded in Falcon.
2014 — Mia and Logan join the family business.
2020 — Scarlet moves into its third and current salon.
2026 — 16 years of Scarlet. 19 team members. 9 apprentices.
