Scarlet Hair is more than a salon. It's something we've poured our hearts into, built around creating exceptional hair, genuine relationships and an experience that makes every client feel completely looked after.
Our Story
Scarlet Hair was founded in 2010 by Leslie with a simple vision — to create a welcoming salon where beautiful hair, genuine relationships and family came first. What began as a small local salon has since grown into one of Mandurah's leading hair destinations, but our heart has never changed.
Our story actually began even earlier. Mia started her hairdressing apprenticeship at just 15 years old, working alongside her mum in a local salon. It was through the hairdressing industry that she met Logan, another passionate hairdresser who shared the same values, ambition and love for creating exceptional hair.
Scarlet's first home was a humble 50-square-metre salon in Falcon with just six styling chairs and two basins. Leslie's dream was never to build a large salon — she simply wanted a place where family, clients and great hair could come together.
In 2014, Mia and Logan joined the family business, bringing fresh ideas and a shared vision for the future. As our loyal clientele continued to grow, Scarlet moved into a larger salon before eventually expanding once again into the beautiful space we proudly call home today.
Now, nearly 16 years after opening our doors, Scarlet Hair is home to more than 18 incredible team members, including seven apprentices who we mentor and train each year. Supporting the next generation of hairdressers has become one of the things we're most proud of and remains a huge part of who we are.
While we've grown from a small family salon into one of Mandurah's most established and successful salons, we've never lost sight of what matters most — creating beautiful hair, building lasting relationships and making every client feel genuinely cared for.
Today, Scarlet Hair is proudly owned and led by husband and wife Mia and Logan McIntosh, who are honoured to continue the family legacy Leslie began. With the support of our incredible team, loyal clients and the Falcon community that has been with us from the very beginning, we're excited to keep writing the next chapter of the Scarlet story.
2010 — Scarlet Hair is founded in Falcon.
2014 — Mia and Logan join the family business.
2020 — Scarlet moves into its third and current salon.
2026 — 18+ team members. 7 apprentices. Still proudly family owned.
